It is really sad to see this happening to one of my friends who is also an amazing solo artist. I’d been wanting to put one of her tracks on a machineKUNT compilation but she kept telling me that this would cause a bunch of legal drama. Legal drama for releasing a Frightdoll track with her permission? I couldn’t understand it. Now the situation is a bit more clear:
From Frightdoll herself:
It’s time for you to know the reality of what has been going on behind the scenes of Frightdoll world.
For further information on why myspace.com and youtube.com have deleted the Official Frightdoll Music Video for the song “Alone in This” due to copyright infringement claims made by a “3rd party”, please read the September 14th, 2009 entry posted on the blog section of my personal website:

I appreciate your continued support and understanding during these challenging circumstances.
Yours truly,
-Frightdoll!
It is not ok to sit back and watch other musicians get treated this way because you “don’t want to get involved in drama” or “just want to run your business.” Show some fucking humanity for a change. If you don’t decide to do what’s right then assholes like this will continue to control the industry. All because you “didn’t want to get involved.” Get involved. Say something. Do something. Speak out.
Also check out the song “Alone In This” on Frightdoll’s music page. The video may be gone (and hopefully just temporarily) but the song is still alive and now more powerful than ever.
